Tate and Marlene Beeson have been involved in the liquor industry for several years and have be VERY successful at it. They had run their own business for many years in Longmont Colorado and totally dominated the industry they were in until a wrist injury forced them to close shop. They were fortunate enough to find employment with a liquor store that needed management help. The store had been there for over 25 years and was well established but was having cash flow problems. The store had gotten itself into a 40K hole due to poor decision making by the outgoing manager. Using the benifit of the 25 plus years experience of the owner the Beesons rapidly learned the liquor business and took over the management of the store. This was in May, by January of the following year the store not only kept it's doors open but made back the 40K !! The bad side of that story is that had made the store look attractive for a sale and the owners did just that.

The next business found was a high volume gas station. The business was doing well-about 6K a day- but was in need of good management. To make a long story short, thru better buying habits and better payroll use and some customer service training to the employees and some "image repair" the store within 5 months was making almost 10K a day and it was not uncommon for the store to make 13-15K on a busy weekend day.

Next up -back to the liquor business! The Beesons found a couple who were just starting out in the industry and needed some consulting. After being turned loose to do their thing for the store then being kept on as management-keep in mind now that this store is less than a year old-the business surpassed the 1 MILLION dollar sale mark in about 8 months. Not bad for a store located in the little town of Firestone Colorado!!!
